12:00 pm - Pacers (1-5) @ Celtics (3-3)
The Pacers nearly pulled off their second win of the season last week, but ultimately fell short against a tough Heat team by one point. They will look to carry the momentum from a strong second half into this matchup with the Celtics, who picked up a dominating win over the Grizzlies to get back to the .500 mark. Because it's the first game of the day, the Celtics will likely not have Billy Baptist, at least for the first half of the game anyway. As a part of his not for profit training organization, Baptist gives back to the youth on Sunday mornings from 9-12 am with various training sessions at Kankakee High School. In his absence, the Celtics will look to run their offense through Jonathan Townsend, who has been having a nice season so far. Townsend leads the team in scoring at 17.2 ppg. Donald Ellis averages 10.3 ppg, while Baptist is the team's leading rebounder with 9.8 rpg and is also averaging 16.4 ppg. For the Pacers, they have only had one game with their full roster, and this past Sunday was a sign of what they can be, as they had their starting five together for the second half, outscoring the Heat 46-32. Jamari Washington had 12 points, and still leads the team in scoring at 15.6 ppg. Kawani Blackman averages 12.2 ppg, while Jajaun McKinnon (10.8 ppg) and Antoine Pierce (10.6 ppg) also average double figures. Look for the Pacers to challenge the Celtics in this one, especially in transition as they will look to run and gun.

1:00 pm - Knicks (1-5) @ Grizzlies (0-6)
Two teams enter this game with just one combined win, but have had very different seasons. In their past four contests, the Grizzlies have been outscored by an average of 30 points, and are looking for signs of life on offense. Meanwhile the Knicks have played a gauntlet of a schedule, with their five losses coming against teams that have a combined record of 23-7, good for a .767 winning percentage. In order for the Grizzlies to have a chance on Sunday, they will need Pat Allen and Ferra Johnson to have their best games, as they'll need to match the size of and the Anderson brothers - Chris and Rob. Chris is averaging 13.3 ppg and 8.2 rpg, while Rob is averaging 8.6 ppg and 6.4 rpg. Other key players on the Knicks include Quon Shaw, who is averaging 16.3 ppg and 8.2 rpg, and Braijon Thomas who averages 15.7 ppg. These four players score the majority of the Knicks points, and should cause problems for the undersized Grizzlies on Sunday. For the Grizzlies, they have lacked serious production at the guard position, as no guard is averaging more than 7.2 points per game (Jaheim Allen). A year ago, point guard Michael Lonergan Jr. was second in the league in assists per game and also had a pair of double doubles on the season. He and Jaheim Allen, will need to pick it up on offense starting this Sunday.

2:00 pm - Bulls (2-4) @ Suns (3-3)
The third game of the day sees two of the league's best rebounding teams square off in another important game for the K1 standings. With both teams fighting to separate themselves from the middle of the pack, several stat stuffers will take the floor in this on Sunday. For the Suns, Ryan Kvasnicka has been one of the best individual players so far this Spring, averaging 21.4 points per game and 8.4 rebounds per game. Brother Jay Kvasnicka is averaging 14.8 points per game of his own, and point guard Brian Zirkle is averaging 12.8 points per game. Zirkle's 5.4 assists per game rank fourth in the league through six weeks of play. For the Bulls, their big three continue to score the ball at a consistent rate. No trio in the league averages more points than Seth Johnson (20.0 ppg), Benito Munoz (18.0 ppg), and Bobby Crivokapich (14.8 ppg). These three also are big time rebounders, as Johnson leads the league with 11.0 rebounds per contest. For the Bulls to pull off the upset, they will need all three guys to score the ball, they will need to contain the Kvasnicka brothers, and Matt Wells will need to step up as the Bulls search for points outside of their main three. Tryston Swartz was outstanding this past Sunday against the Bucks, scoring 14 points, grabbing ten rebounds, and recording a season high 13 assists. If the Bulls can get production from Wells, Swartz, or anyone else from their bench, they can certainly get back in the win column and beat a team as good as the Suns. Look for the Suns to expose the Bulls' depth on Sunday with a lot of isolation on offense in what should be a game played at a fairly slow pace.

3:00 pm - Bucks (4-2) @ Spurs (6-0)
The Spurs' train looks to continue rolling on Sunday, as they are in the midst of their most difficult stretch of the season. Following a dominating performance over the previously undefeated Nets in Week 6, the Spurs may be running out of teams on their schedule that can push them for a full 40 minutes. Perhaps the Bucks are one of those, a team that made the final four a year ago, but were ultimately handled in the semifinals by the Spurs in convincing fashion. The Bucks enter this contest with a 4-2 record, and were able to add some size in the offseason to compliment some playmakers on the perimeter. These two guys will be put to the ultimate test on Sunday, as Aleks Malinic (18.8 ppg and 8.0 rpg) and Blake Graham (16.3 ppg and 7.5 rpg) will have their hands full with the interior presence of the Spurs. Trey Johnson is second in the K1 League in rebounds with 9.8 per game and leads the league with 2.7 blocks per game for the Spurs. Meanwhile Latrell Tidwell is averaging 14.7 points per game and is fifth in the league with 9.0 rebounds per contest. Throw in Tyree Mosley, who averages 17.3 points per game, and Swiss army knife Dennis Koger, who leads the team with 19.7 points per game and averages 8.7 rebounds per game, the Spurs are awfully difficult to contain. Their 82.7 points per game scored is five points better than the next best offense in the league, and they scored 100 points in both Weeks 4 and 5. If the Bucks are to hang on Sunday, Malinic and Graham will have to be animals on the boards, and then the Bucks will have to knock down some shots from the outside. Although guards Ray Lawrence and Chris Green are still all-league caliber guards for the Spurs, Darien Bosby (11.0 ppg) and Caleb Johnson (8.0 ppg) will need to hit some shots from the outside, and Jaquan Boxley will have to play a good brand of defensive basketball. We aren't saying by any means that the Bucks will win on Sunday, but perhaps they can give the Spurs a run for their money in this one, as their quest for a perfect season hits the halfway mark this Sunday.

4:00 pm - Nets (5-1) @ Lakers (4-2)
The Week 7 game of the week features several dynamite playmakers, in what should be an electric atmosphere inside the gymnasium on Sunday. The Nets suffered their first loss of the season on Sunday, taking one on the chin to the undefeated Spurs in a disappointing contest. They have little time to lick their wounds, as the Lakers loom, fresh off of four straight wins, and with a slew of reinforcements joining them down the stretch. Brian Hernandez has been the spark that the Lakers needed the past two weeks, scoring a league-record 59 points in Week 5, before backing it up with 24 points in a 72-68 win over the Knicks last Sunday. As point guard Andre Robertson Jr. returns to the lineup, his matchup with the Nets' Martavias Laster will be one of the most electric individual matchups of the season. While Hernandez is second in the league with 5.5 assists per game, Robertson Jr. is fifth in his own right, averaging 4.8 assists per game. He also leads the league by a wide margin with 4.4 steals per game, while Laster is third with 2.7 steals per game. Robertson Jr.'s ability to defend Laster could be the difference in this one, as Laster is averaging 20.3 points per game, good for third in the league. Laster and Sammie Hines (10.3 ppg) should draw the majority of the attention from the Lakers defense, as they are the only two players to average double figures for the Nets. Despite only averaging 65 points per game, the Nets have been efficient, and have had the league's second best defense along the way to an impressive 5-1 start. With a potential playoff-like atmosphere in the building for this game, watchout for Tone Brooks and Chad White of the Lakers to have strong performances, as well as Ronnie Jackson of the Nets. It's worth mentioning that TJ Wicks is likely done for the year with the Nets, after signing with the Tallahassee Southern Kings out of TBL. Whatever you are doing on Sunday afternoon, it can wait, as these two outstanding clubs matchup in a blockbuster Week 7 game of the week.

5:00 pm - Heat (5-1) @ Kings (2-4)
Week 7 finishes up with a game that could see a ton of fire power, as two of the league's best young superstars square off. The Heat's Terrell Hendrix, who is averaging 19.8 points per game, will go at it with the Kings' CJ Link, who is averaging 13.2 points per game. Although the Kings faded down the stretch against the Suns in Week 6, they have won two of their past three contests, and have shown both the confidence and ability to play with anyone in the league. As they continue to shoot the three-ball better, the Kings have begun to develop a pretty versatile offense, after struggling mightily in the first few weeks of the season. Their offense runs through point guards Ahmad Smith and KT Bobo, and they will have a lot of responsibility on Sunday against the pressure of the Heat. Jamir Hinds leads the team in scoring with 15.3 points per game, and has connected on eight three pointers in his last two games. If the Heat can defend the perimeter, they will like their chances to improve to 6-1, as they have shown the ability to rebound with any team, despite not having a true center. Because the Kings are a bit undersized themselves, look for the Heat to crash the boards on offense and to try and get some easy baskets there. Another fun matchup will be Heat guards Trey Anthony, Ke'Sean Williams, and Alonzo King, against the Kings' Smith and Bobo. Whoever handles the opposing guard pressure may have the edge in this game. Although the Heat have a three game lead in the standings, if the Kings can navigate the press, and block out on defense, their hot streak as of late could be enough to upset a Heat team that is just one game out of first place in the K1 League. Don't miss the final game of a loaded Week 7 slate.
