FKF REBEL CLUBS TERMS LATEST MOVE BY THE FEDERATION ILLEGAL
On Thursday football Kenya Federation sent a series of emails to five rebel clubs and participants in both Division One League and National League notifying them of Aps Bomet,Kona Rangers, Dimba Patriots and Mayenje Santos Suspension from the current season .
The four clubs were further demoted to lower divisions as from next season. Aps Bomet are relegated to FKF division one league for 2023/2024 season while Dimba Patriots, Mayenje Santos and Kona Rangers demoted to Division two league for the upcoming season.
However, Fortune Sacco who are part of league protest are yet to know their fate after a court issued orders for the federation not to demote them untill the case in court is heard and determined . The five rebel clubs refused to take part in the ongoing FKF leagues demanding Promotion to FKF Premier League for Aps Bomet & Fortune Sacco while FKF National Super League for Dimba Patriots, Mayenje Santos and Kona Rangers
After the federation announcement,the five clubs have given a statement terming the actions by the Football Kenya Federation as Illegal
The clubs urge that there is no NEC as it was disbanded by the former Sports , Culture and youth Affairs cabinet secretary Amina Mohamed.
Furthermore,the clubs termed the 2022/2023 season as illegal &null/void adding that FKF at the moment does not have the authority nor legal mandate to relegate any clubclubclubclub
