Green Tree Basketball League’s Most Valuable Player, Rebounds leader and Blocks leader is:
**Zach Benjamin #33 of The Rookies **
Zach led his team to the 2nd best record in the league. Night in and night out, Zach put up monster numbers on both ends of the floor. He also proved to be his team’s main focal point on the offensive end. Not only was Zach able to dominate the paint each game- regardless of his opponent; but also able to score from the outside hitting long two’s and the occasional three point basket.
Zach also anchored the defensive end, leading the league in blocked shots and leading the league in rebounding. A true glass eater on both ends of the floor, but one stat that we do not account for shots altered by Zach.
Congratulations to Zach Benjamin #33 of The Rookies who is their main piece to the puzzle.
Zach came in second in scoring with 26.8 points a game, led the league in rebounds with 19.8 and 1.3 blocks per game, respectively. He also added the occasional assist by averaging 2 a game. Good luck in the Playoffs!
Green Tree Basketball League’s Scoring leader is:
Gary Lynch #4 of Lavar’s Ballers.
Gary came on late in week 2 on an already well-balanced and talented team, but that did not stop Gary from lighting up the scoreboard and racking up buckets. He is able to score off the dribble and off the screen, which makes him a true scoring threat. Given a little breathing room, Gary continuously made the defense pay with deep three’s and hitting jumpers effortlessly. He also brings a well-balanced game by taking it to the rack and dropping the occasional dime.
Season high for the year game in on May 1st as Gary dropped 46 points and hit a Green Tree Game Record of 12 made-3 pointers. He also averaged 2.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1 steal a game and led the league with right under 30 a game(29.8 points a game).
Green Tree Basketball League’s Assists Leader is:
Bruce Williams # 10 of Lavar’s Ballers
Back court mate of Gary Lynch was a recipient to many of Bruce’s dimes. At times the shortest player of the court, but one of the fiercest competitors as he led the league with 11 dimes a night. He found either one of big men rim running or one his long range shooters open for the trifecta. Gary runs the offense of Lavar’s Ballers, always finding his team mates for those easy buckets making lazy defenses pay all night.
Bruce led the league with 11 assists a night and just missed averaging a double double with 9.8 points a game. Bruce played the defensive end as well, pestering opposing guards and averaging 2.3 steals a game.
Green Tree Basketball League’s Steals leader is:
*** Lex Cruz #4 of The Foundation
Lex was able to average 4 steals a game. Playing 2 games for the Foundation he was able to score 12 points a game, 4.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and getting 4 steals a night. Playing the passing lane like a corner back on the football field, Lex was able to attain a Green Tree Records of 7 steals on April 3rd.
