Exciting game for team Run & Gun as they took home a win over the Pecan Sandies 50-38 in the first week of the USLI Basketball League.
Injuries left the team to seek outside help. Luckily, Randy Reid and Trey Jones sacrificed their lunch break and showed up to play and make a huge impact.
Randy was the leading scorer with 23 points, a handful of rebounds and a single noted steal. Jahquil Watson was another key component to their success,
scoring 20 points and was very impressive defensively as well. Other notable players was Sean Smith with 7 points and 3 aggressive rebounds,
Matt Lassus and Lance Kretchmer helping the team remain on top through both halfs. Team Run & Gun never let the opposing team get between 8 points for the lead,
a true all around effort amongst everyone. They will look to rest on their bye week this week and pick up the same momentum where they left off.

Terrific effort by the Pecan Sandies but it was not enough to surpass team Run & Gun for the win.
Alex Kirk gave it 110% through the whole game and no one on this team was considered selfish.
Mike Langston had a couple beautiful drives to the rim but the drops were just not in his favor.
Ryan O'Shaughnessy has a very unique 3 point shot but could not get open enough to deliver.
Gabe Dahke was a rebound monster, and both Tim Durkin and Dylan Jordan played well together on offense and defense.
Just becuase they came up short this game does not mean they are out.
The Pecan Sandies are gonna be a force to wrecken with once the chemistry starts to come together.
