Le Messager Ngozi was back in action over the weekend in Burundi Premier League with a tough fixture aganist arch rivals Musongati FC at Stadium Urukundo .Le Messager Ngozi headed into the fixture as under dogs after seven consecration matches without a win despite a perfect start to the season ,Oliver Nibizi the assistant coach was given the charges to guide the team in to this tough challenging fixture .
Hussein Nahimana , Musongati FC head Coach was a man under pressure going into the Le Messager Ngozi fixture after recording no win in his last four Burundi Premier League matches. Nahimana made no change to the squad that drew against Flambeau du Centre last weekend . Le Messager Ngozi coach Oliver made one change to his squad as Ali Fataki dropped to the bench for Burundi Under 20 attacker Vincent Barungitse.
Le Messager Ngozi started the match with an eye to the goal immediately referee Assumani Dieudonne got the match under way . The 2014 Burundi Premier League champions ,took control of the match as Ngozi pushed for an opener ,Joseph Kishindi who was starting his third consecutive Burundi Premier League game this season ,came close to puting Le Messager Ngozi in front but his goal was disallowed for an offside .
Arthur Nibikora combined well with Ibrahim Karikera in the 35th minute to give Le Messager Ngozi an opener after rounding up Musongati FC defenders Franck Nduwimana and Chris Nduwimana to slot home a first . This was the third consecutive time Musongati FC got themselves behind in Burundi Premier League this season. The first half ended with Musongati FC headed for a fifth Burundi Premier League match without a win
The second half was not different from the first half as Musongati FC failed to impress from all positions ,the Midfield duo of Numbe Ndashimiye and Mossi Nduwumwe was overpowered with Joseph Kishindi and Ibrahim Karikera. A quick counter attack from Karim Bizoza was slotted home by Ladislas Mpisemwoneza to give Le Messager Ngozi a second of the game .
Fataki Intelligent Ali was introduced in the 70th minute and made instant impact as he set up Arthur Nibikora fir a third goal and his first brace in Burundi Premier League,Musongati FC pulled one back four minutes later but the woes were far from over when Fataki unleased a long range shot to give Le Messager Ngozi a fourth of the game
The match ended with Le Messager Ngozi emerging winners and bringing to an end a seven run of burundi premier league matches without a win . Musongati FC are now five matches in Burundi Premier League without a win .The win takes Le Messager Ngozi to sixth out of 16 teams in Burundi Premier League table as Musongati FC drop to eighth on Burundi Premier League table
