Bumamuru back on top after emphatic win

Kayanza United on Sunday went into Burundi Premier League books of history after receiving a heavy thrashing at Bumamuru Fc .

In a fully packed Urunani Stadium , Bumamuru Fc ran riot in front of FFB President Alexander Muyenge to hand Kayanza United a 7-1 thumping .

Enock Sabukumana gave Bumamuru Fc the lead in the 1st minute of play before Alfred Nkurunzinza strike doubled Bumamuru Fc lead .

Tusker Fc bound attacking Midfielder Shassir Nahimana hit one in the top left corner just before the break to make it three goals to nil ,KG Bartholome added a fourth few minutes after the break to take the game far from the reach of Kayanza United

Kayanza United got one back through Alfred Benoni but it was not enough to mount a comeback for Kayanza based club as Bumamuru Fc hit three goals in the last three minutes

Shassir Nahimana scored his 12th of the Season and Bumamuru's 5th of the game before two quick goals from Elie Mokono and Alfred Nkurunzinza made it 7 goals to one .

Elsewhere,Gitega derby lived to the hype as Musongati FC held Flambeau du Centre to a one all draw ,Aime Gakizaa opened the scoring for Flambeau du Centre before Mbula Jonathan leveled the scores for Musongati FC .

With Flambeau du Centre playing a draw ,they surrender the leagues top position to Bumamuru Fc who move ahead with one point advantage .

Vital'O , Burundi Premier League title hopefuls were held to a barren draw by Aigle Noir denying the 2015 Burundi Premier League champions a chance to go top of the Burundi Premier League table .
