12:00 pm - Celtics vs Nets
The Celtics' search for their first win of the season continues on Sunday when they take on the 4-1 Nets. The Nets have looked as good as any team in the K1 League this season, with their lone blemish coming in OT to the Rockets back in Week 3. The Nets have been propelled by their dynamic duo of Martavias Laster (20.8 ppg) and Sammie Hines (17.2 ppg), who are both in the top 15 in scoring across the K1 League. Mook Lawrence (10.6 ppg and 7.6 rpg) has also provided big minutes this season, as the Nets feature one of the league's most balanced, consistent rosters. This should give the Celtics all sorts of problems, as they have just been unable to score the ball. The Celtics' offense is averaging a league-worst 52.8 points per game, and only Antonio Phillips is shooting above 35% from the field. Phillips is quietly putting together an all-league caliber season, averaging 15.6 points per game, and 10.8 rebounds per game. Phillips is second in the entire league with his rebounding numbers, as he is second to just Brannon Jones of the Pistons, who had 12 rebounds in his lone game played. Although Jonathan Townsend (11.0 ppg) may be due for a breakout game offensively, the Nets are a bad matchup overall against the Celtics, as they boast the league's number one defense - allowing just 58.2 points per game. Look for the Nets to smother the Celtics' offensive efforts, as they look to stay within a game of the Lakers in the standings, before their Week 7 showdown.

1:00 pm - Spurs vs Pistons
Both the Spurs and Pistons have not gotten off to the starts that they hoped they would this season, and they will each look to take a step in the right direction in an intriguing 1 pm game. The Pistons' problems have centered around their personnel, or better said, a lack of personnel at games. In a Week 5 thrashing at the hands of the Suns, the Pistons played their second game of the year with just four guys, as big man Kaphri Alston didn't roll into the gym until halftime. The Pistons have also played another game with five players, and another game on top of that with just six players. If the Pistons want to even think about beating a team like the Spurs, they are going to need more buy-in from their time. So far, outside of head coach Anthony Porche, Mark Conner is the only member of the team to make all five contests. He has been fantastic so far this season, averaging 25 points per game, which is second in the scoring race behind the Rockets' Antonio Marshall. The story for the Spurs has been their lack of guard play, as Chris Green has missed their team's past three games, and his brother Ben has missed the past two contests. Dustin Rennewanz has also missed two of the team's past three games. In order for the Spurs to get back in the win column, they will also need to quit turning the ball over, as they had 18 turnovers in the loss to the Heat. If the Spurs can get the Green brothers back on the court, and can take better care of the ball, expect them to get on a roll in the second half of the season, as they still hope to position themselves inside the top four as they make a run at their fourth straight K1 championship.

2:00 pm - Bucks vs Warriors
The Bucks and Warriors kick off the first of two games between 2-3 teams, in what could be a season shifting win for both teams. The Bucks started off 2-0, before dropping three straight games. Their offense has struggled a bit in two of those three games, in losses to the Suns and the Lakers. Caleb Johnson has been a bright spot for the Bucks, as he is averaging 13.4 points per game, on 50% shooting from behind the long line. Big man Aleks Malinic has had an up and down season, with two solid efforts, and two pedestrian performances. He is averaging 12.0 points per game and 7.0 rebounds per game. Billy Baptist has averaged 11.7 points per game in the team's three losses, whereas he had 42 points in the Week 2 win over the Bulls. The Warriors meanwhile started 2-1, picking up big wins over the Heat and Spurs, thanks to strong second half performances. The Warriors have seen a Big 3 of their own emerge this season, with Tyree Mosley (18.6 ppg), Latrell Tidwell (17.0 ppg), and Quon Shaw (10.4 ppg) leading the way offensively. As the Bucks will look to limit these three players, the Warriors will have to have other players step it up around these three guys. The rest of the Warriors' roster combines for less than 20 points per game. Jaron Hayes only has one basket on the entire year, and Otis Houston ranks 109th in FG percentage. If the Warriors can see increased scoring from their role players, watch out for them to turn their season around. Many fans in the gym will hope to see Baptist match up with Mosley on Sunday, as two of Kankakee's finest hope to lead their teams to victory on Sunday. Another intriguing matchup could be Malinic and Tidwell, former teammates at KCC, who are two of the league's premier big men.

3:00 pm - Suns vs Bulls
The second matchup of 2-3 teams pits the Suns and Bulls against each other. Unlike the matchup before it, both these teams carry winning streaks into Week 6, as they look to get back to .500 and keep pace in the standings. The Bulls started 0-3, despite scoring the second most points in the K1 League during that time span. They have since cooled off a bit on offense, but have stepped it up defensively, holding the Pistons to 51 points, and the Celtics to 41 points. Limiting the Suns' offense however will be a much different animal, as they are fresh off of scoring 114 points in Week 5 in a big win over the Pistons. The Suns have a plethora of guys scoring in double figures, led by reigning player of the year Ryan Kvasnicka, who is averaging 22.6 points per game and 10.0 rebounds per game. Vashawn Sims is averaging 19.3 ppg, and Jamir Hinds is averaging 14.6 ppg, as the Suns have quickly assembled one of the most potent offenses in the entire league. For the Bulls, they are going to need their big four to step it up offensively, if they hope to keep pace with the Suns. Seth Johnson, who won player of the year in the K1 League back in the Fall 2021 Season, is averaging 12.8 points per game, and 9.5 rebounds per game. While his numbers are certainly not pedestrian, they are a bit below his previous season's averages. Benito Munoz has been the team's top scorer yet again, as he is averaging 19.3 points per game. Look for him and Sims to match up at times on the perimeter in a showdown of elite guards. Bobby Crivokapich (15.0 ppg) and Nick Crowe (14.2 ppg) are also scoring the ball well, and will need to have big games on Sunday, as the Suns rebound as well as any team in the K1 League. Although the Suns are favorites in this one - assuming they have their core players in attendance - it will be interesting to see what the Bulls are made of, as both teams looked to get to 3-3 in the standings.

4:00 pm - Lakers vs Rockets
What a big day for the Rockets, as the league as a whole will get an extended look at what they are made of. The Rockets enter the day with a 3-1 record, and have a massive doubleheader in front of them. If the Rockets are able to win both games, they would leave the gym in sole possession of first place in the K1 League. If they lose both games, they could tumble all the way down to a three-way tie for sixth place. The discussion surrounding the Rockets must start with Antonio Marshall, who is averaging 27.8 ppg, to lead all scorers. Seeing him match up against the Lakers should be a dandy, as the Lakers possess the league's best lineup at the guard position. With bodies such as LJ Harris, Andre Robertson Jr, and Kawani Blackman, it will be interesting to see how the Lakers try to defend Marshall. The biggest question that the Rockets may have to answer as a team, is how many players they will have present, for what should be a fast-paced, physical doubleheader. If the Rockets don't have several bodies coming off the bench, it's hard to see them keeping pace with the Lakers. If the Rockets have their full plethora of players, including Tanner Ribbe (20.0 ppg), Harry Marshall (14.0 ppg), Alex Thorson (10.0 ppg), and Hunter Jacobs (9.5 ppg), they will have a very real chance, as they have found ways to surround Tone Marshall with just enough help to win two tough games against the Nets and Bucks. Otherwise, look for the Lakers to get to 6-0, and to continue creating distance between themselves and the rest of the standings. The Lakers took down the Bucks in Week 5 by a score of 67-53, as LJ Harris scored 26 points to win player of the week honors. He leads the team in scoring with 19.0 ppg, while three other players average double in figures: Kawani Blackman (15.6 ppg), Brian Hernandez (13.5 ppg), and Tone Brooks (11.8 ppg). Don't miss this matchup between some very talented guards, as the Rockets look to show the league that they are contenders and not pretenders.

5:00 pm - Grizzlies vs Rockets
Fans have to wait all the way until 5 pm to catch the game of the week, as the one-loss Grizzlies take on the one-loss Rockets. In a game that could potentially be for first place, depending on the result of the 4 pm game, two of the league's biggest surprises face off in a high-powered duel. While many people knew about the Rockets' Tone Marshall coming into the season, the Grizzlies have a few superstars of their own that have taken center stage. Brothers Chad and Chris White have been the unquestioned leaders of a Grizzlies team that has gotten off to a 4-1 start. Chad White took home player of the week honors back in Week 1, when the Grizzlies took down the Celtics and the Suns to start off their season. Chad is averaging 14.2 ppg, and 9.2 rpg, along with 5.8 apg, which is good for third in the K1 League. Chris meanwhile is averaging 21.3 ppg to lead the team, and ranks fourth in the K1 League in scoring. Chris is also averaging 7.0 rpg, second to only Chad. Two keys for the Grizzlies are their guard play, and who can step up each game alongside the White brothers, as well as Rich Kirk, a versatile forward who has made a huge impact in the Grizzlies' two biggest wins this season. Rich Kirk had 14 points against the Suns, and 18 points against the Heat. He is the only other player on the team, outside of the White brothers, to average double figures (10.6 ppg). So while the Rockets may have serious issues slowing down the size and strength of the Grizzlies, the Grizzlies may have their own issues slowing down Marshall. Look for both teams to get the ball in the hands of their stars, as they look to create some mismatches on the interior. Alex Thorson and Hunter Jacobs will need to play their best in both games on Sunday, alongside Marshall, as the Rockets look to pick up a signature win or two in primetime.
