12:00 pm - Bulls @ Bucks
Week two brings us our first true look at the Bulls, who will have their top three players back after all being absent in a week one loss to the Spurs. They will take on a Bucks team, that picked up a huge 70-68 win in OT against the Heat. While the Bulls will welcome back some of their top talent, the Bucks will be without their all-league center Aleks Malinic in this one. In the week one win, the Bucks had a trio of players score in double figures, as head coach Caleb Johnson had 16 points, and Malinic gave the Bucks a second half spark with 14 points in the paint. Newcomer Ferra Johnson chipped in ten points and seven rebounds off the bench in his first ever K1 win. For Ferra Johnson, he had played in 25 consecutive losses over the past two seasons to start his K1 career. Without Malinic in the lineup on Sunday, they will rely heavily on big man CC Malone to slow down the attack of the Bulls' center Seth Johnson, who averaged 19.3 points per game and 11 rebounds per game a season ago. In addition to Benito Munoz (21.4 ppg and 8.1 rpg) and Bobby Crivokapich (15.7 ppg and 7.9 ppg), who were outstanding on both ends of the court last season, the Bulls are excited about Nick Crowe, who had 29 points and 15 rebounds in their week one loss to the Spurs. If Crowe can perform at even half the rate of the production he had on Sunday, the Bulls could possess one of the best offensive lineups in the K1 League. In a very intriguing 12 pm game, the Bulls will welcome back their full roster, as they look to take advantage of the Bucks being without one of their key players.

1:00 pm - Heat @ Warriors
Both the Heat and Warriors were one shot away on Sunday from picking up a win in the season opener, yet both teams stare down a potential 0-2 start, following heartbreaking losses. The Warriors were up by as much as 12 points in the second half, before the Lakers came back and stole a 76-74 win. Despite the loss, the Warriors showed that they can be one of the best offensive teams in the K1 League. Tyree Mosley had 24 points, while Latrell Tidwell and Quon Shaw had outstanding games on both sides of the ball. Tidwell had 22 points and 11 rebounds, while Shaw had 11 points and 13 rebounds. Another plus for the Warriors is their +14 margin on the glass, something they hope to replicate again in week two against a smaller Heat team. For the Heat, a buzzer beating attempt from Terrell Hendrix did not fall in the overtime period, as they were edged by the Bucks in an entertaining, back-and-forth affair, 70-68. Hendrix may have been the best player in the building on Sunday, finishing with 32 points, ten rebounds, six steals, four blocks, and three assists. Jwaquese Springer also impressed in his K1 League debut, ending up with 17 points, while CJ Link seems to be a perfect fit for this Heat team, as he scored 14 points of his own, including a few big buckets down the stretch. The Heat will look to hold their own on the glass against a much bigger Warriors team, and big man Lamarius Lillard would help those efforts immensely if he can make his season debut this Sunday. Despite the talent that both rosters possess, one of these two teams will start the season 0-2, so don't miss this game as both teams will be fighting for their life to get in the win column. The Heat will try to do it on the run, while the Warriors will hope to slow the game down and take advantage of their size on the interior.

2:00 pm - Nets @ Suns
In a matchup featuring two Final Four teams from the 2022 Spring K1 League, the Nets and Suns will each look for an early-season statement win. The Nets looked to be in mid-season form this past week, as they held the Pistons to just 47 points in a 62-47 win. In that game, Mook Lawrence stepped up big, leading the way with 17 points and 13 rebounds. Martavias Laster had 13 points, Sammie Hines had 11 points, and Jerry Wills had 10 points, to lead a balanced scoring attack. The Nets moved the ball well on offense, registering 18 assists and turning the ball over just seven times, as they took a lot of open shots against the zone of the Pistons. They also turned some heads by outrebounding the Pistons by five, as they crashed the offensive glass effectively for basically the entire game. For the Suns, they were upset in week one in surprising fashion by the upstart Grizzlies. Reigning MVP Ryan Kvasnicka had a solid game with 24 points and seven rebounds, but the Suns as a whole looked sluggish and not quite in game shape. Despite 13 points from both John Oliver and Jay Kvasnicka, as well as 12 points from Jamir Hinds, the Suns only had six players at the game, and ran out of gas down the stretch. The key for them will be getting their legs back under them, and getting three of their top weapons to Kankakee, Jared Johnson, Vashawn Sims, and Derrick Dale. If the Suns can add at least one of these guys to the mix on Sunday, they should look much better from start to finish in their second contest of the season. Although the Suns were clearly the better team last season when they defeated the Nets 85-70 in Week 9, they have a ways to go to get themselves back into the same shape that led them to the championship game a year ago. If the Suns show any sign of rust on Sunday, look for the Nets to take advantage. However, if the Suns have a more complete roster, their size advantage will be undeniable, as they look to avoid an 0-2 start.

3:00 pm - Lakers @ Pistons
Two teams that finished their games in completely different fashion in week one, matchup in an enticing 3 pm game. The Lakers shocked everyone by rallying from a twelve-point, second half deficit and knocking off the Warriors 76-74, despite being without three of their starters. The Pistons meanwhile looked out of place for most of the game, before completely fading away in a 62-47 loss to the Nets. As these teams face off on Sunday for the first time, both teams will welcome back two key players. The Lakers should have Brian Hernandez and Gerald Duckworth back in the lineup, as their rotation of basically all college-guards begins to take shape. They will also have Tone Brooks and LJ Harris, who played outstanding basketball down the stretch to lead the comeback against the Warriors. Tone Brooks had 18 points and 11 assists, while LJ Harris had 16 points, five rebounds, and five assists. JJ Calvin was solid on the interior for the Lakers, logging 12 points and six rebounds, as he battled with the much taller Latrell Tidwell. Calvin will need to produce more of the same on Sunday, as the Pistons welcome back their center Kaphri Alston. With Alston back in the lineup, as well as Shalimar Jacobs, the Pistons will quickly turn into one of the biggest teams in the league, a complete contrast to the guard-heavy Lakers. If the Pistons can use their size advantage, they hope to dominate on the glass and control the pace of the game against a Lakers team that will want to push the tempo. The Pistons will also look to Mark Conner to be at his best on the perimeter. Conner impressed in his K1 League debut, scoring 25 points on some nice shot making. This game will likely be determined by the pace at which it is played at. You won’t want to miss a loaded 3 pm game, as both teams boast a ton of high-level talent in this clash of the titans.

4:00 pm - Rockets @ Celtics
The Rockets will make their league debut on Sunday with a doubleheader, starting off against the Celtics in the fifth game of the day. While the Rockets will have plenty of new faces in the K1 League, most people there will know head coach Antonio Marshall, who figures to be one of the top point guards in the league. The Rockets will run their offense through him and brother Harry Marshall, who played at Indiana State, as they look to make some noise in the K1 League. Other familiar faces on the Rockets include Braijon Thomas and Alex Thorson, who both have finished on the all-league leaderboard in past seasons for their guard play. Rishaun Green, Tanner Ribbe, Moises Guerrier-Graham, and Hunter Jacobs, also look to be key contributors on a team that has a ton of basketball experience and knowledge. If the Rockets can rebound the ball against the bigger teams in the league, they should have the guard play and athleticism to compete with just about anyone. They will kick off their campaign against a Celtics team that nearly completed a 20-point comeback in week one against Grizzlies. Despite falling 55-54, the Celtics showed that they will have some weapons to work with this year, led by guard Antonio Phillips, who had 16 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists in the opener. If Jonathan Townsend can play better for the Celtics this week, and big man Josh Washington holds his own on the interior (13 points against the Grizzlies), look for the Celtics to try and spoil the league debut of Marshall and his Rockets.

5:00 pm - Rockets @ Spurs
The Rockets will be right back at it as they take on the three-time defending champion Spurs, who will have some motivation of their own. The Spurs played with just four players on the court in their week one win over the Bulls, and will look to play together as a complete unit for the first time this season. They look to welcome back head coach Matt Cunningham, as well as their all-league forward Dennis Koger, who has been recovering from an Achilles’ injury. Koger averaged 20.6 ppg and 8.5 rpg in the 2022 Spring K1 League. Despite playing on a team that had six all-league caliber players on the offensive end of the court, Koger still finished in the top seven in both points and rebounds across the league. For Koger, who has won as many career games as any other player in K1 League history (40 games), he looks to lead a team that lacks no motivation whatsoever. The Spurs looked good in week one, as newcomers Ben Green (16 points), Octavious Davis (12 points), and KT Bobo (11 points) wasted no time in impressing with their new club. Add Chris Green, Dustin Rennewanz, and reigning defensive player-of-the-year Trey Johnson to the mix, and the Spurs know they have the pieces to run the table for a fourth time. In the first true test for the Rockets, some former Olivet Nazarene athletes could be matching up in this one, with the likes of Chris Green, Ben Green, and John Martin from the Spurs, battling it out against Tanner Ribbe, Alex Thorson, Hunter Jacobs, and Antonio Marshall from the Rockets. Don't miss the nightcap in week two, as the Rockets hope to do what the Grizzlies did in week one, by making some noise in their league debut doubleheader.
