12:00 pm - Celtics @ Grizzlies
The first game of the year features the Celtics and the new look-Grizzlies. The Celtics enter this season without Billy Baptist, and will lean on Antonio Phillips
and Jonathan Townsend to lead them offensively. If those two can average double figures game, and big man Josh Washington can produce on both ends of the court, the Celtics will be a competitive team this season. They will look to use their experience in the K1 League as they take on a Grizzlies team that has six newcomers. Coach Walter Hudson brings Mendi Naylor and Chad White with him from the Lakers, but the rest of their team is new to the league. It will be interesting to see how they adjust to the league, as big man Chad White hopes to have a dominant season with the offense and playing style revolving more around him this season.

1:00 pm - Suns @ Grizzlies
A year ago the Suns won ten games in route to a championship berth in Ryan Kvasnicka's coaching debut. Kvasnicka won player of the year honors by averaging 24.8 ppg and 10.8 rpg. He will look to lead his Suns team back to a double-digit season, despite having a fairly new roster. The Suns return just four players off of that team, as they take on the Grizzlies in the second game of the season. Ryan, his brother Jay, Phil Andrade, and Jared Johnson return for the Suns, while every other player is new to their team. The only other player on their roster that has K1 League is experience, who comes over from the Kings at the deadline. Hinds averaged 16.3 ppg a season ago and could really add to the perimeter attack of the Suns. The big question in this game will be how do the Grizzlies respond physically to starting the season off with a doubleheader. While the Suns could have a decent size advantage, it's hard to know which personnel they will have in week one. Look for Ryan Kvasnicka and Chad White to have big games, as the Grizzlies look to pull off a big upset and sneak out two wins to start off the Fall 2022 K1 League.

2:00 pm - Spurs @ Bulls
The three-time defending champion Spurs will kick off their title defense against the Bulls as massive favorites. A season ago the Spurs knocked off the Bulls by a score of 100-35 in shocking fashion, and will look to continue the momentum in their head-to-head matchup into this one. And unfortunately for the Bulls, they will be without not one or two, but all three of their "Big 3" in this contest. Coach Bobby Crivokapich, and all-league players Benito Munoz and Seth Johnson, will all be absent in this contest, as the Spurs will put the hammer down in their opener. Keys for the Bulls will be seeing how their newcomers adjust to the league. Nick Crowe figures to be a big piece offensively, as does guard Michael Lonergan Jr, who will look to free up Benito Munoz off the ball a bit. While the Bulls won't have their full offense on Sunday, they expect to score some points this season. The Spurs have a decent big three of their own, featuring Chris Green, Dennis Koger, and reigning defensive player-of-the-year Trey Johnson. Whenever these three guys are in the building, the Spurs are the favorites against probably anyone. They will also look to get some help around them from some newcomers, notably Ben Green - brother of Chris Green - as well as KT Bobo and Octavious Davis, who also jumped ship from the Kings. If Bobo can handle the ball well as he steps in for Ray Lawrence, look for the Spurs to have another massive year offensively.

3:00 pm - Pistons @ Nets
In the first of three intriguing matchups on Sundays, two opposites clash in the 3 pm game. The newcomer Pistons franchise, will open up against the league's most experienced team in the Nets. The Nets return the exact same eight players for their Final Four team a year ago, and will need no time adjusting to the gym or to the league. Meanwhile on the other side of the aisle, the Pistons could have a decent learning curve, as just three of their players have ever played on the carpet before, the Nets defended better than every team in the K1 League a season ago besides the Spurs. Although the Pistons could have a massive size advantage in this one, with the likes of Mark Conner, Kaphri Alston, Shalimar Jacobs, and Kevin Howard all on their roster, it will be interesting to see how they match the speed and passing ability of the Nets. Martavias Laster was an MVP candidate a season ago, averaging 21.4 ppg. If Laster plays anything like he did a year ago, the Nets will hope to be in the Final Four again, as they expect their role players to give them more this season. Some of those lofty expectations with fall on Sammie Hines, as well as Ronnie Jackson and Mook Lawrence. Although the Nets don't have a true center, they showed everyone last season that their chemistry gave them a chance against any team. This figures to be a low-scoring contest on Sunday, but excitement is as high for this game as any on the docket, as the Pistons look to be one of many teams in the title conversation come November.

4:00 pm - Warriors @ Lakers
In the third meeting all-time between the Warriors and Lakers, the game of the week title feels only appropriate for this matchup. There is no shortage of storylines in this game, as the Warriors core is back together again, and they have some serious size to compliment them. Otis Houston takes over as coach again, and welcomes back all-league players Latrell Tidwell and Tyree Mosley with open arms. The Warriors will also have Quon Shaw, who comes over from the Knicks after a standout season (16.1 ppg and 8.5 rpg). While they also have the Anderson brothers - Rob and Chris - the question for them will be do they have a deep enough bench to handle a 40-minute game, and can they get up and down the court with a team as athletic as the Lakers. The Lakers may take the cake when it comes to the most exciting team to watch this season. Featuring some unbelievable guard play, the Lakers hope to run and gun teams right out of the building. Gerald Duckworth and LJ Harris both return to the K1 League this fall, and will join forces with all-league guards Andre Robertson Jr, Tone Brooks, and Brian Hernandez. If there is enough of the basketball to go around for these guys, the Lakers will have every bit of the firepower it takes to knock off anyone, including this Warriors team that is much bigger and more physical. The Lakers' key player could be JJ Calvin, who will bear the responsibility of guarding the opposing team's biggest player each game. Look for Latrell Tidwell to have a big game on Sunday, as well as Tone Brooks, who logged one of the league's most memorable performances in his 30-point performance against the Warriors back on September 26, 2021. Don't miss the Week 1 Game of the Week matchup, presented by BSN Sports.

5:00 pm - Bucks @ Heat
The final game of the day features two of the most improved teams in free agency in the Bucks and the Heat. The Bucks snagged the league's top free agent in Billy Baptist, who led the Celtics to the Final Four a season ago. He will team up with Aleks Malinic (18.8 ppg and 8.4 rpg) and newcomer Lavell McIntosh, as the Bucks hope to have enough rebounding this go around to surround a dangerous three-point shooting team. For the Heat, they were perhaps the biggest surprise of any team in the 2022 Spring K1 Season. On their way to an 8-3 record and the number two seed in the postseason tournament, Terrell Hendrix continued his unreal play in the K1 League, proving that he is one of the league's best scorers. If the Heat can get enough help around him, they think this can be their year. Some of their key additions include guard Jwaquese Springer, the Link brothers (Cam and CJ), as well as big men Chino Johnson and Lamarius Lillard. If the Heat are able to be a bit better on the glass this year, and can have more than one go-to scoring option at the end of games, watch out for them to push for a great seed again. It's interesting to note in this one that coach Trey Anthony is 0-4 all-time against the Bucks. He will look to snap that streak on Sunday, as both of these teams have aspirations of competing with the Spurs for the 2022 Fall K1 League crown.
