12:00 pm - Suns (4-3) @ Grizzlies (0-7)
The Suns received a huge boost in Week 7 with the league debut of Jared Johnson, who torched the Bulls for 37 points, along the way to winning player of the week honors for Week 7. Although the Suns may not necessarily have Johnson for every game, they have now put the league on alert, showing everyone just how good they can be. Despite center Kevin Howard continuing his rehab from a knee injury in Week 5, the Suns offense is really firing on all cylinders right now, and that's bad news for a struggling Grizzlies team. Ryan Kvasnicka is averaging 21.5 points per game, while point guard Brian Zirkle is averaging 5.8 assists per contest. Pair this up with the fire power of Johnson, as well as the scoring ability of Jay Kvasnicka (14.0 ppg) and Phil Andrade (11.7 ppg), the Suns look to win their third straight and get to 5-3 heading into the bye week. For the Grizzlies, they competed hard in the first half of Sunday's loss to the Knicks, trailing just 28-24 at the half, before they were overmatched in the second half. Pat Allen had 25 points and eight rebounds, and continues to be an animal for this team, nearly averaging a double-double. Unfortunately for him, he has not gotten enough help around him, especially since Ben Matthews went down with a broken wrist. The Grizzlies will struggle mightily on the glass in this one against the bigger, more physical Suns.

1:00 pm - Bucks (4-3) @ Celtics (4-3)
In the first of several important matchups on Sunday, two 4-3 teams search for separation in a crowded part of the standings. The Celtics opened up Week 7 play with a dominating performance against an undermanned Pacers team, while Bucks were blitzkrieged by the Spurs. Two key players to watch in this contest for the Celtics are Billy Baptist, who has propelled the Celtics to a 3-0 record when he plays a full game, as well as Jonathan Townsend, who is having a breakout season and is averaging 18.1 ppg and 8.1 rpg. For the Bucks, they may be without Blake Graham for a while, following a scary looking knee injury in Sunday's loss to the Spurs. They'll look for star center Aleks Malinic to stay hot, who is averaging 19.6 points per game and 8.1 rebounds per game. He showed the league that he may be one of the best big men in the league, if not the best, in a dominating performance against the Spurs' Trey Johnson (24 points and nine rebounds). If the Bucks can contain Baptist, they'll like their chances on Sunday, while the Celtics may say the same of their chances if they can slow down Malinic. Look for the guard of the Bucks to potentially give them an edge, as Darien Bosby (10.3 ppg) is due for a breakout game. Don't miss the battle of the "green" teams on Sunday, as both teams look to get to 5-3 heading into the bye week.

2:00 pm - Bulls (2-5) @ Kings (2-5)
A second consecutive game between teams with identical records sees the Bulls and the Kings square off in what seems like a must win game on both sides of the aisle. The Bulls, who were a semifinalist team a year ago, got off to a hot start at 2-0, before dropping five straight contests. Meanwhile the Kings, who started 0-3, rebounded with two big wins, before suffering back-to-back losses. In previewing this matchup, it's safe to say that these two teams play a very different brand of basketball. The Kings have speedy, dynamic guards, and look to play quickly. Meanwhile the Bulls will look to use their size advantage, as they will have arguably the three best players on the court on Sunday. What has been the Bull's kryptonite is their depth, as they have just not been able to receive consistent production outside of their big three. The Bulls received just twelve points from their role players on Sunday, as they couldn't keep pace with the Suns, despite getting 69 points from their big three. If the Bulls want to snap their losing streak, they need Seth Johnson (19.4 ppg) to take advantage of the fact that the Kings don't have a true center. Leading scorer Benito Munoz (20.0 ppg) dropped 30 points on the Suns, while Bobby Crivokapich (16.2 ppg) shot the ball well in his 23-point effort. Circling back to the Kings, they are averaging the third fewest points in the K1 League, and scored just 51 points on Sunday in a tough loss to the Heat. Unless they can contain the Bulls big three, it's hard to see them keeping up on the scoreboard in this one.

3:00 pm - Heat (5-2) @ Nets (6-1)
The race for second place in the K1 League will feature one the biggest games to date, as the Heat and Nets matchup in the game of the week matchup for Week 8. The Nets jumped out to a 5-0 start, before falling to the Spurs and Lakers in back-to-back weeks, as their record now stands at 5-2. The Heat meanwhile have taken the league by storm, jumping out to a surprising 6-1 start. The key for the Heat has been their ability to win close games. They have won four games by a combined 13 points, while also coming from behind at the half to beat the Bulls by ten. Two of the league's best scorers will matchup in this one, as Terrell Hendrix (21.1 ppg) of the Heat and Martavias Laster (20.3 ppg) of the Nets have been electric this season. In addition to both being in the top five for the scoring race, they also are top three in steals, as Hendrix's 2.9 steals per game and Laster's 2.3 steals per game are good for second and third respectively. Now that the Nets don't have TJ Wicks, they won't have as big of a size advantage as they did a year ago on the Heat, however the pink team was still able to beat the Nets in both matchups a year ago. In both games, they forced a high number of turnovers and were able to get downhill to the basket. While it's not panic time just yet for the Nets, they do need to share the ball better as a team, and they need both Sammie Hines and Ronnie Jackson to get back to the form that they were in during the Fall 2021 Season. If they do that, the Nets may have an edge in this one, with the depth and experience that they boast on their roster. However, if the Heat can contain the role players of the Nets, and force a lot of turnovers as they did a year ago, they have a chance to get to 7-1, and be in the driver's seat for a top two seed in the K1 Playoff Tournament. Don't miss the game of the week, as two emotionally-charged, fast-paced teams go at it in one of the biggest games of the season.

4:00 pm - Lakers (5-2) @ Spurs (7-0)
The Spurs enter this matchup winners of all seven games on the season, and will matchup against a Lakers team that has won its past five games. So as the league's two hottest teams face off in this one, the same question will be asked again, do the Lakers have a roster talented enough to play with the Super Spurs? Assuming they have Brian Hernandez, he certainly gives them a chance, as he has scored a whopping 111 points in his three games this season. If he and Tone Brooks can get hot from the outside, and point guard Andre Robertson Jr. continues to wreak havoc on both ends of the court, maybe they will have a shot. The biggest responsibility will fall on center Chad White, who will have to deal with big men Trey Johnson and Latrell Tidwell. Fortunately for the Lakers, White has been improving each week and has quickly turned into one of the league's best rebounders at 9.9 boards per contest. While the Lakers will certainly have strong support from the crowd, the one of the immediate concerns is how will they be able to hold their own on the glass. Trey Johnson, Latrell Tidwell, and Dennis Koger are combining for 27.7 rebounds per game, and are only getting better playing together. Guard Chris Green finally broke out of his slump this past Sunday, scoring 22 points in the Spurs big win over the Bucks. So while the Lakers have some playmakers and are winners of five straight contests, it's hard to see them slowing down the league's top offense, that is averaging 84.1 points per game. If Chad White has the game of his life, and the Lakers light it up from three, maybe they do have a team that is capable of pulling off the improbable. We'll find out on Sunday, as the Spurs are just two wins away from clinching the number one overall seed in the playoff tournament.

5:00 pm - Knicks (2-5) @ Pacers (1-6)
The final game of the day sees the Knicks and Pacers go to battle. The Knicks have played the toughest schedule so far in the league, and are certainly not complaining about back-to-back games with the Grizzlies and the Pacers. Although it took them a while to get going on Sunday, the Knicks exploded for 56 points in the second half, as Braijon Thomas led the way with 28 points and eight rebounds, in what may have been his best ever game in the K1 League. Quon Shaw continues to be a triple double watch week in and week out, as he is now averaging 16.6 ppg, 8.1 ppg, and 5.9 apg. The Anderson brothers have also continued to dominate on the inside, as the Knicks will have a massive size advantage in this one. If the Pacers are to have a chance in this one, they will need buy in from their entire roster, as they had just four players in their loss to the Celtics a week ago. Leading scorers for the Pacers include Jamari Washington (14.3 ppg), Kawani Blackman (12.2 ppg), and Jajuan McKinnon (10.9 ppg). If these three guys are there and are engaged, the Pacers have shown the ability to score in waves. They will however need to do a better job of limiting turnovers, as the Knicks will likely dominate in the rebounding department.
