At X-Factor Academy, we are dedicated to providing a positive and enriching soccer experience for all players. Our mission is to foster a love for the game while prioritizing personal growth, teamwork, and sportsmanship. We believe that youth soccer should be fun, inclusive, and educational, allowing every child to develop their skills and confidence on and off the field.
Our Philosophies
All Players Play
We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to play. As a recreational league, our focus is on fun and learning rather than competition at the highest levels. While we celebrate standout players, we also value every participant's experience. If a player seeks a more competitive environment, our partnerships and recruitment pipeline can assist them on their soccer journey.
Balanced Teams
Our commitment to fairness means all players are grouped according to their age and ability, typically within a one-year age difference. This approach allows teammates to train together, ensuring everyone learns essential soccer fundamentals. During game days, players from the same age pool will mix and play together, avoiding the creation of "super teams" and promoting balanced competition.
Positive Coaching
Our coaches are a diverse group of experienced individuals and former players who prioritize a fun, challenging, and safe environment for all kids. Despite their varied coaching styles, they share a common goal: to instill a love for the beautiful game while fostering a supportive and encouraging atmosphere.
Good Sportsmanship
At X-Factor Academy, we emphasize the importance of good sportsmanship. Winning and losing are both parts of the game, but how we conduct ourselves during these moments defines our character. We encourage players and parents to cultivate good sportsmanship, celebrating achievements graciously and handling setbacks with dignity.
Open Registration
We strive to make soccer accessible for all players. Our open registration policy means that we will do our best to ensure every child has the chance to play, as long as it is safe. We welcome everyone to join and experience the joy of soccer in a supportive environment.
Player Development
Player development is at the heart of what we do. Our coaches will teach all the necessary fundamentals to help players grow. With every new season, players will train with a different coach, exposing them to various teaching styles and perspectives that enhance their learning experience.
Our Community Focus
Built on the support and collaboration of volunteers, X-Factor Academy brings together community members to coach, referee, and foster a family-friendly environment. Our goal is for each child to grow not only in soccer skills but also in leadership and social skills, preparing them for life beyond the field. We also offer professional coaching from experienced competitive-level players and club coaches.
Practices: Weekday evenings from 5 PM to 8 PM (exact days and times depend on the coach)
Games: Played on Saturday or Sunday evenings
Season Duration: The league runs year-round, with each season lasting 7 weeks
Training Frequency: Players train once per week and play one game per weekend
