North Haven Senior Basketball

NHSBL is a recreational basketball league for all high school residents of North Haven, CT.

Game Location

All games are played at ACES Mill Road School. In the event of cancellations or schedule changes, an email will be sent out. Please note that ACES Mill Road school does NOT follow the North Haven BOE cancellations. There may be times the North Haven BOE closes schools, but ACES may remain open. Therefore we ask that you please check your email for schedule changes.

Payment Information

Please make sure to pay the registration fee of $200 preferably by Venmo @NHSBL (Sal Giaimo) or by check made out to "NHSBL" or . Please include your athlete's name in the memo. Please mail all checks to 15 Edison Drive, North Haven, CT.

Score Keeping - Community Service Hours

NHSBL relys on volunteers in order to operate. We offer high school volunteers the opportunity to earn community service hours by doing the book and running the scoreboard.

Parent and Player Code of Conduct

It is important that all parents play a significant role in supporting their child in sports as well as the league in which they play. Parents should always remember that children participate in sports to have fun and learn the fundamentals of the game.

• I (and my guests) will not engage in any unsportsmanlike conduct with any official, coach, parent, player, or other attendee.
• I (and my guests) will be a positive role model for the children encouraging sportsmanship, respect, courtesy and teamwork. I will also support all players, coaches, officials and spectators at every game and practice.
• I will teach my child to play by the rules and to resolve conflicts without resorting to unsportsmanlike conduct.
• I will show total respect to officials and coaches in the league at all times. I will not question or confront officials or coaches at the gym. If a discussion is necessary, I will do so at an agreed upon time and place.
• I will refrain from coaching my child or other players during the games and practices, unless I am one of the official coaches of the team.

I acknowledge that any violation of the code of conduct or any inappropriate behavior on my (and my guests) part could lead to the disciplinary action that includes termination of the playing privileges of my child. This action will be determined by the Executive Board.

Additional League Rules

• No eating or drinking in the gymnasium (exceptions made for staff and players)
