We asked Josiah so very important questions. Here is what the former Massabesic Varsity basketball player had to say
Go to move if you needed a basket?
Up and under, but a corner 3 never fails...

Pre-game routines?
Square V Dribbling; the biggest confidence booster for me on the court is feeling secure with the ball. It doesn't matter what song is playing, as long as it's something slow. Before a game, nerves are sky-high, so being able to relax and calm down helps me think more clearly.

Why are you a part of MBA?
As someone who's loved sports and competition growing up, basketball has always been my favorite. Even when playing other sports, I'd often sneak off to the courts before and after practice. Playing basketball with lots of people, including my older brothers, has made me really love the game. My goal at the MBA is to share that love with kids who want to learn more.

Who would you want to play 1v1 against?
I wouldn't stand a chance, but I'd love to play against "Pistol" Pete Maravich. He was a magician on the court and an incredibly skilled player for his era.

Who would you beat 1v1 from our staff?
I'd outplay my older brother James. We've always joked that I can't beat him because he is older, but I'm determined to win next time we play.... or at least give him a run for his money.

What should players expect from you?
Players should antisipate me pushing them during practice, guiding them on becoming adept basketball players, emphasizing fundamentals, discipline and most importantly, enjoyment. Basketball demands commitment and seriousness at times. By consistently striving for improvement and approaching things with the right attitude, success is attainable. As you progress and excel as a player, the game becomes increasingly enjoyable.

Favorite Basketball Movie?
To be completely honest with you, I haven't watch many basketball movies. The movie "1000 to 1" is one to remeber. It recounts the true story of Cory Weissman, a young basketball player who faces adversity after suffering a stroke. He perserveres to make an inspirational comeback to the court.

Coaching philosophy?
It takes no skill, just effort, to make a significant impact on a team. I strongly believe this, rooted in my high school basketball experience. Rebounding, defending and valuing the ball are essential. Anyone, anywhere, can impact a team with dedication to these fundamentals. These tasks require effort.

Most important Question?
Who will win March Madness?
I am leaning towards Marquette, my underdog pick last year. They made waves in the tournament. Ranked #8, now, they could make another tournament run.
