Tiebreaker Rules for the 2021 Fall League:
• Teams will be seeded for the playoff tournament based on divisional standings, which is determined via overall record. So if a team finishes 11-2 in the West, and two teams finish 10-3 in the West, the team that finishes 11-2 wins the West. If two teams finish 9-4 atop the East, they will finish first and second in the East division, even though in this scenario, the three best overall records reside in the West Division
• If two teams in a division have the same record, the first tiebreaker is head-to-head record. If both teams went 1-1 against each other, then the tiebreaker procedures are as follows: going from top to bottom in those two teams’ division, look at head-to-head record. In this example, if both teams in the East finish at 9-4 and went 1-1 in their respective head-to-head matchups, then the next tiebreaker is their records against the third place team (next best record) in the East Division. If both teams have the same record against the third place team in the division, then the next tiebreaker is those teams’ records against the fourth place team in the East Division. If records are identical, this then goes to the fifth place team in the East Division. If both teams have identical win-loss results against all teams in their division, then the same procedure takes place in the West Division starting from top to bottom. In this scenario, this would start with both teams’ record against the top team in the West that went 11-2. If results were the same, then the tiebreaker would be against the second place team in the West (who is 10-3 in this scenario), if the same this would continue down to the third place team, then fourth place team, and finally the fifth place team. If at this point, both teams have identical records against every other team in the K1 League, then the tiebreaker would become point differential in these two teams' two matchups against one another
