Ligi Ndogo and Amex Auto join to launch soccer tourney

Nairobi based Ligi Ndogo soccer Academy has collaborated with a Kenyan corporate firm Amex Auto Parts to launch a football tournament which is aimed at developing football in Kenya in a bid to identify, produce and nurture the next crop of soccer players among Kenyan youths.

The collaboration between Amex auto parts and Ligi Ndogo will see players compete in a one-day soccer at the Ligi Ndogo grounds in Nairobi.

The tournament dubbed Ligi Ndogo Inua Talanta tournament will see a total of 12 teams Square it out in the Under-9 and Under 11 age groups in the competition set to be played on Saturday 6th May, 2023.

The 12 teams have been placed in four pools of three teams each. Winner in pool games will qualify for the main cup final. Runner up qualify for Plate cup and third placed qualify for bowl.

This is the first edition and Amex expects to partner with Ligi Ndogo for the next three editions in the tournament.

According to organisers, this tournament will help in nurturing young players hone their skill and develop into future accomplished players able to play at the highest levels professionally.
“We expect to scout the best under 9 and under 11 talents in this tournament who will proceed to play in the Inua Talanta league that is set to be launched. This will be a step into producing new talent,” said Ligi Ndogo founder and director Chris Amimo.

Ligi Ndogo Soccer Club is a football club and youth academy based in Nairobi, Kenya. The club's youth academy was founded by current chairman Chris Amimo.
