Today the High Court Judicial Review section is expected to give directions as to hearing of the application by FKF that stayed the decision of the Sports Disputes Tribunal.

In a new twist, the firm of Macharia Gakandia Advocates has put in application under certificate of urgency seeking the court to vacate the stay orders on grounds that FKF acting CEO Barry Otieno acted contemptuously by not disclosing material facts to the court in particular that he was never incharge of football matters in the country and lacked capacity to seek review.

This stems from the Milton Nyakundi case that barred FKF'S NEC from commenting on matters football and the Justice Ong'udi ruling that categorically affirmed that NEC was rightfully disbanded by former CS Amina and the High Court could not reinstate them.

The reinstatement of the secretariat by Hon.Abwabu Namwamba without a Legal Gazette Notice and or instrument posses a great threat to running of soccer in the country with many experts arguing that if the court agrees that NEC was legally disbanded then only The Special General Assembly can chat the way forward in matters football.

Could clubs be playing another set of friendlies particularly after the lukewarm Fifa fact finding tour that left more questions begging than answers?
