Silibwet Leons hunt first home win against visiting Gusii in the National Super League.

National Super League action continues on Saturday with three matches lined up.

Silibwet Leons are at home as they play host to Gusii Fc in a quest for first home win in National Super League this season.

The only surviving club from Bomet in the National Super ,after suspension and relegation of Aps Bomet,have had a rough start to the season picking up one win in 18 National Super League matches.

At home, Silibwet Leons have played 8 games winning none ,drawing 5 and landing defeat in 3 games . Leons have 5 points from home games.

Speaking to Kurunzi News , Silibwet Leons team manager cam team coach Erick Rono noted that morale is high in the camp despite the current financial constrains facing Silibwet Leons the players are ready to put in a fight aganist Gusii Fc.

" It is one of the hardest period for our club ,we haven't paid salaries for long now but the team is motivated to play ,most of the players in this squad are young and want that league exposure. Training sessions have been intense this week and we are going for a win. Let the fans come in big numbers to cheer on the boys ."

Rono also hinted of a possible return of dependable full back Jimmy Owili from a two week injury lay off and is expected to be drafted back into the starting line up for a side that has conceded 28 goals in the league up to now .

On the other hand ,Coach Kassim Jr has been dealt a blow after stacking Midfielder Mejar Odhiambo withdrew from the match day squad due to discomfort on his left knee .

Gusii fc have the fourth best away record in the league and will aim at improving on the record as they take on Silibwet Leons.
