Shabana Fc lose crucial points in promotion race with defeat to Assad .

Shabana Fc on Friday afternoon slipped and lost three points in a 3-1 defeat to SS Assad ,a match that was staged at Shamu Grounds in Ukunda.

Prior to the match ,SS Assad had no win in all three encounters with the Kisii based club Shabana Fc .

Kick off was delayed with 30 minutes as the home side failed to equip the emergency vehicle as directed by FKF leagues and competitions department.

SS Assad Wilberforce Lugogo took no time to leave his mark on the score sheet as he rounded up Ochieng Stephen and Silas Abungana before shooting to the top left corner for the opener with only 8 minutes played .

With two minutes left to the break ,Beja doubled Assad tally ,though new Signing Cornelius Lusaka gave some hope to Shabana Fc faithfuls with a goal on stroke of half time .

Beja completed his brace in the 48th minute to secure all the three points for Simba wa Ukunda .

Shabana Fc remain at the summit of the league 7 points ahead of second placed Murang'a Seal. Murang'a Seal take on Mully Children Home FC on Saturday with Shabana Fc lead at the top likely to be cut to 4 points if Murang'a Seal defeat MCF FC .

Elsewhere, trouble laden Kisumu All Stars thrashed National Super League money bags Darajani Gogo FC at Moi Stadium Kisumu three goals to nil .

A brace from Nelson Amunga and one from Laban Otieno was enough for the lake side club to hand over Darajani Gogo a second consecutive defeat in a week .
