Our survey indicates majority of the National Division One Clubs have been left frustrated by a number of County,regional and Division Two clubs who have been reluctant to release players with their transfer deadline set for tomorrow midnight.
Majority of Zone A and Zone B Clubs have expressed their displeasure at the conduct of even fellow Division One Clubs who are yet to accept numerous transfer requests and are calling on the Head of Competitions Unit to intervene and direct immediate releases to help the clubs comply with the Fifa set deadline and or if not extend the same as their league is set to commence in 8 days time.
A look at the transfer summary from the FKF KPL shows that majority of players moved from Zone A and Zone B Division One sides and hence their frustration at the slow pace lower tier clubs are dealing with requests.
Majority now want all transfer requests approved and any other pending administrative issues be dealt with the Competitions Unit as most clubs do not have money to pay for transfer fees leave a lone development fees as demanded by some clubs.
During the recent Division One Clubs meeting at Kasarani,FKF CEO directed clubs to fastrack transfers and importantly accept requests from other clubs due to the limitation of time.
We hope the Head of Competitions will heed the Division One Clubs call and approve all transfer requests and or give a guidance to the process.
