NEC FC 2-0 Luweero United
NEC FC bounced back from last week’s defeat to Kitara FC with a resounding 2-0 victory over Luweero United at the Bugolobi Coffee grounds.
Skipper Marvin Kavuma scored two second half goals to inspire the Skills Lukyamuzi coached side to their fourth win of the season.
Following a barren first half, Kavuma broke the deadlock in the 68th minute when he capitalized on a miscalculated ball by the keeper from Oscar Sessazi’s long free kick.
Two minutes later, Kavuma made it 2-0 with a perfect low drive from within the area.
The brace took Kavuma’s tally to five goals, two behind the leading scorer Patrick Kaddu of Kitara FC.
Following Mbarara City’s barren draw against Calvary, NEC FC moved back to the second place with 13 points level with leaders Kitara who have a superior goal difference.
NEC will visit Soroti City in their next game next week while Luweero United will seek redemption as they host Kataka FC.
