Table leaders NEC FC will face a daunting task as they welcome Mbarara City in the FUFA Big League
match at Coffee grounds in Bugolobi.
The Nakawa based side have had a perfect start in the league, having won their first three games.
Straight from regional league football, NEC FC beat Calvary in their opener on the road, saw off
competition from experienced Police FC and recently an away win against Ndejje University in a 2-1
victory.
They welcome back club captain Kavuma Marvin who missed their last League game due to an injury. He
was so vital in their 1-0 win against Police FC alongside striker Derrick Ssekiranda.
But Mbarara City will fancy their chances of moving to the top of the log if they can pick maximum
points away against high-flying NEC FC.
The Ankole Lions started the season on a high with a 3-1 win against Booma FC and then played out a
disappointing 0-0 draw with Jinja North.
They managed to bounce back with a 3-1 win against Lugazi United to move to third place on the log
with seven points.
They continue missing club captain Solomon Okwalinga but will rely mostly on Henry Kitegenyi and
Sadat Nsubuga up front.
